Last year, Croatia IT industry combined revenue rose 6.5 percent over the year before. This rather unexpected development in the surrounding of falling country’s GDP (-1.0 percent) and non-financial enterprises turnover (-0.5 percent) could be attributed to enlarged exports and increased demand for “the third IT platform” products; cloud solutions (primarily private cloud implementation) and mobility devices (smartphones and tablets). However, the bulk of the increased demand came from traditionally big IT spenders finance and telecom sectors as well few “blue chip” domestic companies. For majority of enterprises IT investments was not a priority in a poor business climate.
